About me
My name is Matúš Kováčik, I live in Bratislava, Slovakia. I was born in Nemecká a village in central Slovakia.
I like to think about virtually everything, analyze and discuss with people. By learning I try to understand myself and the nature of human being. My favourite sports are running, biking a bit of swimming, snowboarding and rock climbing. I am fascinated by knowing different cultures and escaping from daily routine to strange places by travelling which I combine with taking photographs.
Education
Education and personal grow is one of the most important parts of my life. In 2008 I graduated from Slovak University of Technology, Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies. In 2009 I successfully finished study of professional certificate in management in Open University Business School and also a soft-skills trainership course. In 2008-2009 I've teached presentation skills in Faculty of Management, Comenius University. Currently I discover psychology/self-management in the institute of manager's education.
Work
I work in Comenius University in Bratislava as an IT Security Manager. In summer 2010 together with collegues from Comenius University we established our IT company unitea. I very much enjoy presenting and consulting in areas like interpersonal communication, leadership (mostly freedom at work) and IT/security management.
